The moment I saw it
Every founder has a moment where they see the problem clearly. For me, it was watching my friend Carlos — a restaurant owner in Barcelona — spend four hours every evening on Instagram, email, and bookkeeping. After a 12-hour shift.
He'd just served 200 customers. Made incredible food. Built real relationships with his regulars. But then, when the last plate was cleared, he'd sit down at his laptop and start his "second shift" — replying to DMs, writing tomorrow's social post, chasing a late invoice, checking if his Google ad was still running.
Four hours. Every night. On tasks that had nothing to do with what he was brilliant at.
The problem nobody was solving
Small business owners are the hardest-working people in the world. They do everything. Marketing, sales, accounting, customer service, HR, operations — they wear every hat because they can't afford not to.
But here's the thing: most of those tasks don't need a human anymore. AI can write a social media post faster and better than someone doing it at midnight after a 12-hour shift. AI can track which ad campaigns are working and which are burning money. AI can chase late invoices, respond to reviews, and manage a content calendar — all while the business owner sleeps.
The tools existed, but they were scattered across a dozen different apps, each with its own subscription, its own learning curve, and its own silo of data.
What didn't exist was one platform that did all of it.
Why I built ELEVO
I didn't want to build another chatbot. The world has enough chatbots. I wanted to build what I kept calling an "AI operating system" — a platform where every business function had its own specialised AI agent, and those agents could work together as a team.
Not a content generator that also sort-of does CRM. Not a CRM that also sort-of writes emails. A proper team of AI specialists:
- A marketing strategist that builds 30-day campaigns
- A social media manager that schedules and publishes content
- A competitor analyst that monitors what rivals are doing
- A financial analyst that tracks revenue and spots cash flow problems
- A legal assistant that reviews contracts and flags risky clauses
- A CEO agent that gives weekly strategic briefings
And dozens more. Each one purpose-built, deeply integrated, and aware of what the others are doing.
The technical journey
I built ELEVO with Next.js 15, deployed on Vercel, powered by Claude AI from Anthropic. The database runs on Supabase. Payments are handled by Stripe. Emails go through Resend. It's a proper production SaaS — not a weekend hackathon project.
I started with 5 agents in January. By March, it was 21. By the time you're reading this, it's past 90.
The breakthrough wasn't building more agents — that's just work. The breakthrough was agent orchestration: getting AI agents to work together as a coordinated team. One agent creates content. Another schedules it. A third tracks its performance. A fourth adjusts the strategy. All automatically, without the business owner lifting a finger.
